Facing Fear

We’ve all done it… avoided a situation for so long because we are scared of the emotions associated with it, only to eventually face it and realize that we made it into something much scarier than it even was in reality. Why do we do this? We want to protect ourselves, our hearts, our egos. We make up excuses, push the potential situation into a far corner of ourselves until it becomes so dark and stuck that it starts to rule every single decision that we make. We give it more energy and power than it deserves simply because we are fearful of it. Making the active decision to face fear and discomfort is one of the most empowering practices that any one person can make for themselves, so put it on the top of your to-do list today and every day!
